Final full school music session with Jonas.
Cross Country Oma Pae Whenua
This week we had our school cross country at Haruātai Park. The walk down to the park seems far enough for little legs - I was very proud of the tamariki's effort in completing the long run around the park.
Last music session
Unfortunately our time with Jonas has come to an end. In our last class session the focus was on quiet meditative music (indispersed with conversations about gumboots and loud beeps from tamariki followed by giggles). Half the class played instruments while the other half lay down and listened - breathing in and out - hā ki roto, hā ki waho.
Duathlon
Duathlon Day was a huge event! It was so exciting to be able to invite parents back into the school to watch all our wonderful tamariki run and bike their hearts out! We appreciate the fundraising support for the school - tēnā koutou! But the best part of the day was being together - school and whānau once more! Ngā mihi ki a koutou mō o koutou tautoko!
April Fools
It is a tradition at Ōtaki School to hold an Easter Egg Hunt each year. This year the kura decided to celebrate April Fools Day also! With an abundance of feijoas around it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss!
